Farm Layout Guidlines
Background - Jonathan Tooke, PhD
Look no further if you are seeking expert advice from a consultant with a sound academic and practical background. My philosophy reflects a sustainable approach and although the results may take a little longer to observe, they are likely to be far more persistent, environmentally friendly and in keeping with the needs of the horse.

Practical experience

A serious riding accident curtailed a competitive riding career but my employment background still reflects a strong, practical bias, particularly in relation to horsemastership and grassland management. My professional experience also includes working on the design and construction of "all weather" riding arenas and specialist forms of equestrian enclosure. I still own a home-bred mare that my wife competes.

Academic Qualifications

In addition to attaining a First Class Equine Degree I am one of the few advisors whose doctorate investigation directly relates to the subject area of equine pasture management. I have undertaken specialist academic investigations into equine fertiliser programmes and fencing provision on horse establishments. Therefore, I am perfectly placed to recommend appropriate procedures on the basis of personal experience as well as research-based guidelines.
